No watering from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during daylight saving time under HMC 13.04.150.A.2; the current city page prints those hours without a seasonal note. Skip irrigation during rain and for 48 hours afterward.

How many minutes to run sprinklers on each water day

One zone at a time, from the state climate table for Hanford and the month you pick. The plan does every zone for every month.

1 What do you water in this zone?
2 What waters this zone?
3 Which month?

4 Nozzle brand or soil

Which sprinkler do you have?

Why rain covers it

October asks this zone for about 36 minutes of sprinkler time a week, from the state climate table for Hanford. That is less than one run, so the sheet shows none.

Established plantings live on the season's rain. New plantings still want a hand watering in a dry week.

Hanford watering questions

Which supplier serves this Hanford page?

This page covers the City of Hanford Water Division. The Water System page identifies the municipal system; HMC Chapter 13.04 governs its retail service, billing and water use.

What are Hanford's watering days?

HMC 13.04.150.A.1 assigns even addresses Tuesday and Saturday and odd addresses Wednesday and Sunday. The current city conservation page repeats those two days for each address group.

Are Hanford's watering hours seasonal?

The city page says not to water from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. without a seasonal qualifier. HMC 13.04.150.A.2 limits that provision to daylight saving time. The sources do not explain this difference.

Is there a Hanford permit for new landscaping?

HMC 13.04.150.E allows conditional watering permits to establish new plants and trees. The Utilities and Engineering Department sets the terms. Planting alone does not create an exception.

How much are Hanford's watering fines?

A metered account receives a notice, then $50, $100 and $200 for violations within one year. A fifth residential violation adds $500 and a flow restrictor at the customer's expense (HMC 13.04.150.H-I).

Does Hanford exempt hand watering?

HMC 13.04.150 applies to sprinkling, irrigation and other watering of landscaping. The cited code does not provide a blanket residential hand-watering or drip exemption from assigned days.
